One of the things I miss most about living 2000 miles away from my extended family is the photo opportunities. So on my trip back there a few weeks ago, I took full advantage of these two muses- my nephews. I think they are two of the cutest kids I have ever seen, but perhaps I am a little biased. It is hard to believe that Mason (my older sisters boy) is already 2- the last time he came out here and I photographed him he was 9 months! And this was the first time I had met baby Hogan- at 6 months, look at those eyes and that roley-poley chubiness! So cute! My sister Lauren had him just two weeks after I left from my last visit out there(baby Hogan didn't get the memo that he needed to come a week early because the photographer was there- frustrating), so I was pretty bummed that I missed out on his newborn photos. But he definately made up for it this time. He is a doll! If you have a baby or are having one in the near future, be sure to include a 6-9 month session- this age is often overlooked as a time to get photographs but is one of my VERY favorite ages! I just love how happy and expressive babies are at this age- that combined with their chubiness and their inability to run away from me equals a guarantee for great images!

Okay, I just love these and they're all perfect. I don't know how you get such incredible expressions and where you come up with some of your ideas but everything you do always looks just amazing.
