'Tis the season

I cannot believe that December is already here! I love everything about the Holidays: I love that I can finally pull my sweaters out of the back of my closet. I love stepping outside in the morning and seeing if it is cold enough to see my breath (I remember vividly sitting at the bus stop on winter mornings as a kid and breathing out long and slow, seeing how much steamy breath I could generate!). I love driving down the street at night, listening to Christmas music and looking at all the colorful lights with my son. I love sitting on the couch by our lit Christmas tree, while a fire blazes in the fireplace. I love all the memories and traditions associated with Christmas. But most of all, I love being a parent during this time of year. To children, there is something truly magical about Christmas time and I just love watching that magic in my children- it makes me feel like a kid again!
My oldest boy just turned 4 and is completely engulfed in the wonder of Christmas. We put up our tree this week and it was so fun to watch his excitement as he put each ornament on the tree, clustering them all in one area(which perfectionist-mommy had to later redo, because heaven forbid we should have four green ornaments in one spot! LOL) He is constantly talking about the lights on the tree, Santa and the stockings, and wishing everyone a Merry Christmas, and I could never tire it!
As Christmas approaches, I am also finishing up the last of my holiday sessions. Saturday I had the opportunity of photographing adorable 15 month old Ivan. Ivan was so much fun to photograph- one of the easier toddlers I have had in a while! He did not take long to warm up to me and after just a few short minutes I was getting lots of smiles (oftentimes, the smiles don't come until later in the session). And boy did he love his cars! As soon as we brought the cars out, he was all smiles and didn't even mind braving the cold outside! It was such a fun session!
This month I have lots of fun things in store for the blog, including some interesting facts about me (I was tagged a LONG time ago- sorry Mel! I am a little slow!), sneak peeks and a hilarious YouTube video that I can't wait to share with everyone! So be sure to check back!

Thanks for the sneak peek Mandy. Love the Vroom vroom storyboard! You did a great job with Ivan, and he surprised us with his cooperativeness too. Can't wait to see the rest!
