Four years ago, I heard the sound of my own baby cry for the first time. Four years ago I changed a diaper for the first time in my life- and it took the help of my husband, LOTS of wipes and at least five minutes. Four years ago I was more tired than I had ever been, but at the same time I didn't want to sleep- I just wanted to stare at my new little miracle all day and all night so as not to miss a single sigh or squeak or twitch of his face while he slept. Four years ago I felt closer to God than I ever had and caught a glimpse of the tremendous love he must feel for me. Four years ago my life found new meaning and would never be the same.
I want to dedicate this post to my birthday boy and to motherhood. As I sit here writ ting this, occasionally stopping to blow up my sons Whoopee Cushion ("heheheee... Mom, that was a good one!") I feel so blessed! I just love being a mom! We definitely have our frustrating moments in our house, which I am sure you can all relate to, but along with those frustrations comes more joy than I could ever have imagined! I know I said this last time, but today I am thankful for my kids, and in particular Jace for teaching me the meaning of true love and self-sacrifice. Happy Birthday, my funny guy!!
