Because every mother needs a weapon...

As a mother of two boys, I have to admit that I am a little terrified of the day my boys turn into teenagers. It seems like fathers of future teenage girls are always talking about polishing up their 'weapons' to keep their girls (and the boys that follow them!) in check; so I was thinking to myself what weapon could I use to keep my boys in line when they reach the crazy years of adolescence? Well, I think I figured it out! I am going to print out a mini book filled with these bare bum shots and keep it in my back pocket at all times! Just picture this scenario in your mind:
Setting: I pull up to the basketball court where 14 year old Ethan is playing ball with all his friends.
Me: "Ethan, time to come home for dinner!"
Ethan: (in his whinny-yet-tough-because-he-is-around-all-his-friends voice) "But mo-ooom, we just got here!"
Me: "Nope- it's time to go!"
Ethan: "Pleeease, just 10 more minutes!"
Me: "Sorry- we need to go."
Ethan: "No... I'll be home in 5 minutes, I promise!"
Mom breaks into face-off stance and gives Ethan the 'you want to play THIS game, do ya, tough guy?' look, then slowly reaches for her back pocket. Immediately a look of fear crosses Ethan's face, then he quickly grabs his ball and says "Bye guys, I gotta go!"
Ohhhh, the humanity!! Isn't it a brilliant plan? In all honesty though, I don't want to use fear tactics to force my kids into compliance. But you never know- desperate times call for desperate measures, so I am glad that I have something up my sleeve, just in case! So any of you moms to baby boys, let me know if you would like a weapon of your own. I would be happy to help you out! It may even work with girls, though I am sure not as effectively. I am just sorry I didn't think of this sooner- I am unarmed with my oldest boy!
Hope you enjoyed these!
ETA: For this post, I am thankful for my cute boys! I couldn't imagine my life without them!

Very cute and fun, Mandy. (I LOVE that chair too!) And good idea! I think I'll have to make up some bare bum shots of my boys too and keep them hidden in a book for the future.
And wow, he's got some incredibly gorgeous blue eyes! I just love these.

Yay for bare bums! They are definitely hard to resist. Davin has a few shots as well, and I'll admit that I have them to remind me how cute his little cheeks are ('cause they probably won't stay that way). It was fun to scroll through your blog and see the story board of Davin. It is darling! I also have a few pictures of his curls as well. :)
