After the rain we (finally!) got last Friday, I was a little worried that my session on Saturday wouldn't happen. But Saturday morning I awoke to a beautiful blue sky and cool fall temps- a perfect day for a session!
I met this sweet family at Historic Palmyra- one of my favorite locations! It is so beautiful down there- especially with the leaves peaking right now! And there are lots of great places to shoot there, which is surprising considering how small this place is! Dad even laughingly said "This is Main Street?" after driving the whole length of the road (a whopping 200 yards long!) Yep, I will agree that Main Street Palmyra is not the most exciting place in the world, unless you are in the mood for a hot dog from BP gas station and a rousing visit with the local State Farm agent. But the nature trails and old stone buildings there sure make great backdrops for portraits!
So here is the sneak peek- I had so much fun with this family! Despite what mom and dad may think, these two little ones did GREAT and we got lots of fantastic shots! Once again, I got the "how on earth did you get any good shots?" comment from Mom, but I have to say that I love when I get that comment- because then the parents are always amazed that I pulled it off! It's like playing poker and surprising everyone when you lay down a full house (okay, so I have never played poker in my life, but if I did I imagine it would feel that way- minus the probability that the people I was playing against would be angry at me... okay- that was a bad analogy!LOL)
Hope you enjoy these, Mom & Dad! I can't wait to show you the rest!
