Ever since I have started my business, I am constantly on the lookout for cool locations to shoot, studying the light, colors and textures of everything I see. Where most people drive by a Burger King or Napa Auto Parts and think of Whoppers and car parts, I think of their photographic possibilities. Sounds absurd, I know!
One of the things that has caught my eye this summer are the big round bales of hay. I don't know why I like them so much, but I have been dying to photograph them. Unfortunately, they are usually on private property and I thought it might sound a bit strange if I approached the owners asking to take picture of their hay bales. Well, last week I spotted some at Pleasant Grove and I was so excited! I couldn't wait to take my client there!
This session was so fun for me! Between Zoie's beautiful blue eyes, Kaylee's (sorry if I spelled that wrong!) curls and Chandlers 'Marvels' moves, I had tons of fun photographing these three! Mom suggested the hand holding shot at the end, and I am so glad she did! It is one of my favorites! And thank you for obliging me with hay bales! I hope you like how they turned out!
I hope you enjoy the sneak peek everyone! And if I suggest Burger King as a location for your next photo shoot, just trust me! I promise I will leave the Drive Thru sign out of the pictures and hey, maybe we can stop in for a Whopper afterwards! (I may be half kidding with the Burger King, but Napa Auto Parts, hmmm... Have you seen the cool bright blue building on Preston Ave.?)
Until next time!

These just blow me away! And where did you get that awesome chair?! Gorgeous photos, Mandy!
Oh, and I know what you mean about locations. One of my friends looked at me funny when I told her I wanted to use the side wall of a grocery store for a location. . .but seriously, it was the coolest spot!
